This is a 2D animation dealing with the topic of the Declaration of Human Rights. I did this at University while learning After Effects. The Task was to creat a typographic animation out of the original UN document. I did it in a collage style, that reminds of old political propaganda material and tried to make a statement about the current world wide political situation and the war in Iraq. The project also received the Media Best Student Award in the category animation in 2006 (audience vote) at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany.

The Janitor is my first real animated short film. The idea came already sometime towards the end of 2006. The story is about a very, very special kind of Janitor, who lives in a surreal, futuristic world. His job is to control day and night... The whole movie was created together with Michael Noll (www.sentdesign.de) out of drawings, photography and 3D images that were animated and composed in AfterFX and put together over a time span of about three months. This is a music video for the PNFA track "Seize", that is the title track of an upcoming five track EP, which is about to be released on the Frankfurt, Germany based house label Deepwise (see http://www.deepwise.de for more information). The EP will be available for free download and for a small charge also on CD very soon. The music has a light summer feel to it, but also a longing athmosphere. That is why I picked the theme "beach" for it and created it in a way, that the style reminds of nostalgic super 8 video material. A video for the psychedelic post hard rock band Fitzcarraldo from Aschaffenburg. I started doing it after I went to a live show of them at An Sibin in Darmstadt which was heavily inspiring and totally blew me away. The clip is a fusion of different methods such as still photography, graphic animation, stop motion and actual live video footage. The footage was recorded and worked out loosely over a time span of about two months. There are three parts such as intro, main part and outro over the 8 minutes it takes which all feature their own abstract contents. Actually the main part consists of more than 6000 single photographs stitched together to an extremely shaky motion, which maybe should not be viewed by people with epileptical disorders because of some stroboscope like sequences. A video produced at university for my side project MI:GFU (http://www.migfu.de.vu) which features fantastic stages and Mario Tran Phuc as a robo dancer. We tried to do a compositing without any bluescreen just by building an After FX composition around the real, filmed footage. Some people might think that tree looks like out of Aronowsky's "The Fountain"...right, that was quite an inspiration here. Enjoy!
