AC/DC are a hard rock band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. The band are considered pioneers of hard rock, alongside bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath.[1] Its members, however, have always classified their music as "rock 'n' roll".[2] AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, in 1975. Membership remained stable until bassist Cliff Williams replaced Mark Evans in 1977. In 1979, the band recorded their highly successful album, Highway to Hell. Lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but soon ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was selected as Scott's replacement. Later that year, the band released their biggest-selling album, Back in Black. The band's next album, For Those About to Rock We Salute You, was also highly successful and was the first hard rock album to reach #1 in the United States. AC/DC declined in popularity, however, soon after the departure of drummer Phil Rudd in 1983. Poor record sales continued until the release of The Razors Edge in 1990. Phil Rudd returned in 1994 and contributed to the band's 1995 album Ballbreaker. Stiff Upper Lip was released in 2000 and was well-received by critics. A new album is expected in 2007. AC/DC have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, including more than 68 million albums in the U.S.[3] Back in Black has sold 42 million units worldwide, including 21 million in the U.S.,[4] making it the second-highest-selling album ever internationally, and the biggest-selling album by any band.[5] The band are ranked fourth on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.[6]

Their music was based primarily on de la Rocha's rhyming styles and vocals along with their sound, especially Morello's unusual extended guitar techniques.

My Own Worst Enemy by Lit Video Guitar Lesson

My Own Worst Enemy by Lit Video Guitar Lesson I'm earning money here by submitting videos like this, it's easy and we'll show you how ... just sign-up at the top of this page and get started NOW! Lit is a post-grunge band, based in Orange County, California. The band was formed in 1990 as a metal-oriented band, under the name Razzle, and gained a large following. A few years later, the group changed their name to "Stain", but due to another band owning the name, they changed their name to Lit in 1996. The group shot to stardom with the platinum album A Place in the Sun in 1999. A Place In The Sun yielded the smash singles "My Own Worst Enemy," which held the number one position for three months, and received a Billboard Music Award for the biggest Modern Rock Song of 1999; "Zip-Lock"; and "Miserable", which was among the top ten most played songs of 2000 and famously featured Pamela Anderson in the video. They performed over 286 shows and toured worldwide in support of "A Place in the Sun." In addition to the Vans Warped Tour and a coveted slot on Woodstock 1999, the band toured with The Offspring, Garbage and No Doubt. They followed up A Place in the Sun with the 2001 release of Atomic which gave the band another Top 10 hit with "Lipstick And Bruises", but the album wasn't as successful as "A Place In The Sun." Lit toured to support "Atomic" with Kid Rock, and Butch Walker. They left RCA records in 2003 and went on a small, intimate club tour that Fall before releasing the self-titled "Lit" on the DRT Entertainment label on June 24, 2004. The single "Looks Like They Were Right" made it on the top 40 charts but the album was again largely unsuccessful due to lack of promotion on the labels behalf. That year they also put out their first long-form DVD called "All Access" on November 16, 2004. In March 2006, the band opened up their own restaurant/bar called "The Slidebar" in Fullerton, California. The band is currently writing and recording for their sixth CD. Guitarist Jeremy Popoff's signature Fender guitar was featured in Fenders' 2005 guitar calendar.

Bush Machine Head Video Guitar Lesson

Bush Machine Head Video Guitar Lesson. I'm earning money here by submitting videos like this, it's easy and we'll show you how ... just sign-up at the top of this page and get started NOW! The name Bush came about because they used to live in Shepherd's Bush, London. In Canada, they were once known as BushX, because the 1970s band Bush, led by Domenic Troiano, owned the Canadian rights to the name. In April 1997, it was announced that Troiano had agreed to let them use the name Bush in Canada without the letter X, in exchange for donating $20,000 each to the Starlight Children's Foundation and the Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund. Frustrated by the disappointing sales of their fifth album, Golden State (2001), and the lack of support the band was receiving from Atlantic, the band decided to split up. Band members went to work on various other musical projects, most notably Gavin Rossdale, who formed a new band, Institute. In recent interviews, Rossdale said he hasn't ruled out the possibility of Bush getting back together, but says the band is "on ice" at the moment. In 2005, Bush released The Best of: 1994-1999, a greatest hits compilation, and Zen X Four, a CD and DVD which features the band's music videos. Zen X Four was released on Kirtland Records and has its own website. The band's back catalogue was acquired by Kirtland Records following a lucrative deal between the president of Kirtland (former Deep Blue Something bandmember) and the president of Trauma Records. The deal included the rights to Bush's entire discography, as well as the rights to No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom

Van Halen Panama Video Guitar Lesson

Van Halen Panama Video Guitar Lesson. I'm earning money here by submitting videos like this, it's easy and we'll show you how ... just sign-up at the top of this page and get started NOW! Van Halen is an American hard rock band. The band's debut album, Van Halen, released in 1978 is commonly regarded as a milestone in rock music and following its release the band established itself as a leader in the U.S. hard rock scene of the 1980s. From 1978 to 1998 the band released 11 studio albums (all of which broke the Top 20 spot of the Billboard 200 music charts[1]). The band has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide[2] and has received several Grammy nominations[3]. Van Halen is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records with the most number one hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock List[4]. According to the Recording Industry Association of America Van Halen is #19 on the list of Top Selling Artists of all time (having sold more than 56 million albums in the U.S.)[5]. Van Halen is one of five rock groups that have had two albums (not including Greatest Hits albums) (the self titled debut and 1984) sell more than 10 million copies in the U.S. (the others being: Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Def Leppard). In addition to being recognized for their artistic contributions, commercial success and popularity, the band is known for drama surrounding the lead singer spot. Although the core instrumentalists and backing vocals have remained constant (Eddie Van Halen on guitar, Alex Van Halen on drums and, until 2006, Michael Anthony on bass), the band has recorded studio albums with three different lead vocalists: David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone. Each vocalist has departed (at least once) under cloudy circumstances. Following their 2004 concert tour the band was on hiatus until September 2006, when on The Howard Stern Show, Edward Van Halen confirmed that his son Wolfgang had joined as bass player and that they were recording new material. Michael Anthony has also stated that as of November 6, 2006, he was not invited to participate in any reunion activity. Reports of David Lee Roth's return to the group to headline a 40-city tour set to begin in Summer 2007 were initially confirmed on February 2, 2007, [1] however on February 20, 2007, reports surfaced that the tour was now postponed indefinitely, and that a planned greatest hits compilation of Roth era hit was likewise shelved [2]. On February 23, 2007, concert promoter Live Nation announced that the tour has been "called off". David Lee Roth stated that "We have fragile politics in Van Halen -- please accept that as a partial answer," Roth told the Los Angeles Times. "But I don't know if the Van Halens are going to go. I hope they do, but right now, I just don't know".[3]Billboard claimed on February 23, 2007 that the tour will go on at some point, but that as of right now, no one knew when.

John Cougar Mellencamp Pink Houses Video Guitar Le

John Cougar Mellencamp Pink Houses Video Guitar Lesson. I'm earning money here by submitting videos like this, it's easy and we'll show you how ... just sign-up at the top of this page and get started NOW! With a major hit under his belt, Mellencamp insisted on changing his billing to John Cougar Mellencamp (compromising by keeping the stage name as well as his true last name) for the 1983 follow-up, Uh-Huh, which was another top-10 hit and spawned several hit singles, including the vivid Americana of "Pink Houses," and the rocking "Crumblin' Down." Despite his popular success, Mellencamp fared less well with critics who tended to view him as a derivative heartland rocker in the mold of Bob Seger or as a poor man's Bruce Springsteen. During the recording of Uh-Huh, Mellencamp's backing band settled on the lineup it would retain for the next several albums: Kenny Aronoff on drums and percussion, Larry Crane and Mike Wanchic on guitars, Toby Myers on bass and John Cascella on keyboards. Mellencamp, now beginning to assert his power as a hitmaker, changed his billing for songwriting and production credits to simply John Mellencamp, although his official name on album covers and other releases was still John Cougar Mellencamp. He also made waves by refusing to allow alcohol or tobacco companies to sponsor his tours and was adamant in not selling his songs for commercial use, no matter how much money he was offered. However, since September 2006, Mellencamp's "Our Country" has been used to advertise Chevy trucks, replacing "Like A Rock" by Bob Seger (more on that below). In 1985 Mellencamp released Scarecrow, a rural masterpiece that was dubbed his first "serious" effort. The album's lyrics were socially aware, with several songs focusing on the plight of the American family farmer, and Mellencamp soon helped organize Farm Aid with Willie Nelson and Neil Young. Scarecrow was the epitome of a heartland rock album and improved his critical reputation in some quarters, while "Lonely Ol' Night", "Small Town", and "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A." all became Top 10 hits and "Rain On The Scarecrow" and "Rumbleseat" garnered considerable play on album-rock stations. During this time Mellencamp was establishing himself as one of the top live acts in rock 'n roll. His concerts were celebrations of all that was great about rock music, and during the 1985-86 Scarecrow Tour he played not only two energetic sets of his own songs, but also a set of 1960s rock and soul classics such as "Mickey's Monkey," "Proud Mary," "You Can't Sit Down," "Nobody But Me," "Land of 1000 Dances," "Cold Sweat," and "Mony Mony" among others to close out his high-energy shows. At a December 6, 1985 show at Madison Square Garden that was plagued with sound problems, Mellencamp promised to refund all ticketholders' money, even though less than half of those in attendance took him up on the offer after he delivered a passionate set of both his own songs and 60s classics once the technical problems were corrected. Prior to the Scarecrow Tour he added fiddle player Lisa Germano to his band to accent and deepen his overall sound. Germano would remain in Mellencamp's band until 1994. Germano played a big role in Mellencamp's next LP, 1987's The Lonesome Jubilee, which was departure from his earlier material as it incorporated country and folk influences. It generated several more hit singles, "Paper in Fire," "Cherry Bomb" and "Check It Out," along with hit album tracks like "Hard Times For An Honest Man" and "The Real Life" and is often considered one of the best and most unusual albums of the 1980s. The Lonesome Jubilee Tour played around the world to rave reviews and kept him on the road until July of 1988. By this time Mellencamp's band was widely hailed as one of the greatest ensembles in rock. 1989's Big Daddy was an ever quieter, mostly acoustic venture; the "Cougar" cover usage now seemed fully inappropriate to Mellencamp, and it was indeed the last album to contain it. Big Daddy stands as one of Mellencamp's most popular albums, containing widely-regarded songs like "Jackie Brown," "Big Daddy of Them All" and "Void in My Heart." By this point Mellencamp had established himself as one of rock's most popular songwriters and a unique talent. He decided not to tour behind Big Daddy, instead shifting his focus to a newfound love of painting that helped him through a rough divorce from his second wife Vicky.

Jane's Addiction was an American rock band featuring Perry Farrell (vocalist), Dave Navarro (guitarist), Eric Avery (bassist), and Stephen Perkins (percussionist). The band formed in the late 1980s and dissolved in the early 1990s. They briefly toured in 1997 and then returned in the early 2000s before breaking up again. Jane's Addiction emerged on the Los Angeles music scene during the 1980s with a style influenced by punk, heavy metal, funk, gothic rock, progressive rock and psychedelic styles; singer Perry Farrell once described the band as a cross between Duke Ellington and Bad Brains. The band was one of the first of the burgeoning alternative rock movement to gain mainstream media attention and commercial success in the United States. Their initial farewell tour launched the first Lollapalooza festival, an annual touring alternative rock showcase, and its success helped popularize the genre. As a result, Jane's Addiction became icons of what Farrell dubbed the "Alternative Nation" during the 1990s. Ranked #35 in VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock
