In summer of 2006, guitarist Richard Comelison and bassist Marty Mitchell got together to break away from the passive relationship they had with their band. Having known and wanting to collaborate with Don Lindner for almost a decade, Rich invited him for a jam session. Finding a drummer wasn't difficult as Don had been acquainted with Tim Schrivner who has been playing drum since the age of 11. The chemistry was perfect and to complete the band they decided to audition for singers. Coincidentally, heavy metal vocalist Elsa Faith was holidaying in the USA and through a mutual friend, she went to try out for this band. The guys were hooked with her vocal capabilities and decided immediately that she was the missing element for the band. The name Soul Distraction gets a unanimous vote from all 5 of them. All agreed the MUSIC feeds their SOUL and it also provides the DISTRACTION away from, at that point of time, their hectic lifestyles.
